AUSTINTOWN – There will be a funeral service at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 21, at the Rossi Brothers & Lellio Funeral Home in Boardman for Linda S. Achten, 61, who passed away Sunday morning, April 17.
Linda was born Dec. 31, 1949, in Morgantown, W.Va., the daughter of John R. and Mary (Baltic) Sexton.
She was employed at RGIS as a secretary for 27 years and the Tamarkin Company for five years. Linda enjoyed gardening, camping and spending time with her family and friends.
Her husband, Kenneth P. Achten, whom she married Aug. 21, 1970, passed away April 10, 2003.
Linda will always be remembered by her two sons, Ralph M. (Shawna) Achten of Youngstown and Greg (Catherine) Achten of Girard; two grandsons, Jordon and Justin Achten; three sisters, Sylvia Sexton of Girard, Carrie "Cindy" Rossi of Liberty and Mary E. Sexton of Boardman; and four brothers, Kenneth (Lelo) Sexton of Texas, Eugene (Debbie) Sexton of Georgia, Charles (Pat) Sexton of Girard and Robert Sexton of Girard.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
