Bondeena came to Baltimore from Racca near Minstral, West Phalia, Germany (Born in Recke, Westfalen, Prussia on 20 Aug 1820) in 1832. She and Owen were married by Rev. John B. Gildea in Baltimore on October 22, 1840.
Her parents were Georg Kneyssel (Johann Georgious Kneyssel) and Anna Maria Wellmeyer. She was one of seven children.
There is no grave marker for Bondeena McNeill. She is buried in the same family plot with her daughter Mary C. B. McNeill McCardle.
Owen died January 19, 1858. It is believed that Owen McNeill was buried in the original Cathedral Cemetery and was moved to an unknown location in New Cathedral Cemetery when the original cemetery closed. The original cemetery property was in downtown Baltimore and was sold by the Catholic Diocese for development. Everyone who was buried there was moved to the New Cathedral Cemetery.
