Charles Edwin Arganbright, Crane, son of Edwin Isaac and Lona (Clark) Arganbright, was born on May 4, 1918 in Ottumwa, Iowa and departed this life on September 24, 1996 at 9 p.m. in Cox Medical Center South, Springfield, at the age of 78 years, four months, and 20 days. Mr. Arganbright, a restaurant owner, had been a resident of the area for the past 33 years comings from Fremont, Iowa. He was united in marriage to Jane Rockwell on December 9, 1940. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Iowa Survivors include his wife, Jane Arganbright of Crane; two sons, Dan Arganbright of Overland Park, Kansas, and Bruce Arganbright of Galesburg, Ill.; one sister, Twyla Murphy of Silvis, III.; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and one grandson, David Nathan Arganbright Funeral services were at 10 am. Saturday, September 28 in Manlove Stumpff Chapel with the Rev. Rodney Peters officiating. Final disposition was cremation following services under the direction of Manlove Stumpff Funeral Home, Clane.
