Traffic Mishap Takes Life of Albert Kraft
One man was killed and a woman seriously injured in two separate accidents over the weekend in Clackamas County, the sheriff's office reports.
Albert H Kraft, 52, Canby, Rt 1, Haines Road, Canby, was fatally injured Sunday morning when his automobile left Highway 99E, throwing him out. Kraft, who was heading south in his 1962 Ford sedan, died one mile north of Canby on a cloudy wet night. He was alone in the vehicle, deputies said. The victium's car left the road on the west side of Highway 99E, going over an embankment and traveling nearly 500 feet before coming to rest on its wheels. Kraft's body was found 40 feet from the vehicle between two sets of siding tracks on the main line of the Southern Pacific Railroad. The body was removed to Canby.
