Forsyth Man Dies in Texas

FORSYTH, MT. ---T-SGT. Clifton Thomas Groombridge, 43, died suddenly Sunday at Lubbock, TX., at Reese AFB Hospital.

He was born in Forsyth, Nov. 1, 1917, a son of Ed and Olive Groombridge.
He attended Forsyth schools and graduated with the Class of 1936 of Forsyth High School.

Enlisting in the Army in March of 1942, Groombrideg continued in the service until his death.

He married Elizabeth Schneider while stationed in Germany.

She survives, as do two sons, Herman and Thomas Groombridge of Lubbock, TX., a brother E.A. Groombridge of Seattle, WA. and five sisters, Mrs. Margaret Cooley of Broadus, MT., Mrs. Olive Lundvall of St. Regis, MT. Mrs. Stanley Maple of Milwaukee, OR., Mrs. Francis Brewer and Mrs., Harold Boschee of Forsyth.

Funeral services will be held at Beals Chapel in Forsyth 2 p.m. Friday.

Burial will be in the Forsyth Veterans Cemetery, Forsyth, MT., with military graveside services.
