He was born June 29, 1909, in Burns City, and married Mary F. Sherfick June 28, 1941, in Linton, Ind. She survives with a son, Linda K., and Larry G., both of Elkhart; a grandson; two step-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Lowell (Marie) Akin, and a brother, Wayne, both of Bedford. Two brothers preceded him in death.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. Thursday at the Walley - Mills - Zimmerman Funeral Home. His body will be taken to the Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home, Bedford, where friends may call after 2 p.m. Friday, where funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Trinity Springs Cemetery, near Bedford.
He was a member of the Elkhart Church of Christ, Elkhart Moose Lodge and Teamsters Union. He retired from Days Moving and Storage in 1974.
