The Courier-Journal Newspaper OBITUARY - 05/18/1923 - Mary "Belle" Risinger Bates, 43 years old, died today in child birth. (Her baby daughter will be buried with her.) She was the wife of Rodger Bates, a farmer in Fern Creek on Meddes Lane. She died at 9 o'clock at Norton's Memorial Infirmary. Besides her husband he is survived by her parent's. Mr. and Mrs. F. J. (Lizzie) Risinger, and nine children. Funeral services will be held at 3 o'clock this afternoon at the residence. Burial will be in The Pennsylvania Run Cemetery in Jeffersontown, Jefferson County, Kentucky.
