Sophia Jane Morrow (Martin) was born in Marshall Co., West Virginia on July 17, 1852. She was the daughter of James (Amos) Morrow and Juliann A. Roberts. She died on February 23 1902. According to "Register of Deaths" she was an invalid and died of complications of disease. Her son said she had tuberculosis. She was married to Sidney F. Martin, son of Joseph Martin (1806-1885) and Mary Galloway (1808-1891), on October 15, 1869 in Tyler County, West Virginia. They had the following children; Dr. Ernest Martin, Sr. D.D.S. (1870-1963), Julia Inez Martin (Mrs. Wilbert Carmichael), (1876-1944). Two infant children; Kitty D. Martin born on February 19, 1872 and died on September 5, 1875; Benny Martin born on March 10, 1880 and died on March 11, 1880.
