R.D. Alexander, 81, of Burnet, died July 18, 2005 in Temple, Texas. He was born December 28, 1923 in Lampasas County, Texas to R.E. and Dolly (Stewart) Alexander.
He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force
during WWII from 1942 to 1945 in New Guinea.
He married Lela Frances Ivy of Lometa, Texas on December 25, 1942.
He is survived by a son, Donald Alexander, of Kingsland; 2 brothers, Richard Audrell Alexander and wife, Virginia, of Temple, TX, and Jimmy W. Alexander and wife, Janet, of Columbus, OH; a sister, Eudell Bierce of Goldthwaite, TX; 8 grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service was held on July 21, 2005, at Center Cemetery in Lometa, Texas.
