Mr. Johnnie James Wells, 79, of Callands, VA went to be with his Lord at the Danville Regional Medical Center.
He was born in Pittsylvania County, VA and was the son of the late James Acree Wells and Effie Kendrick Wells.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold Wells and Dennis Wells.
He is survived by his wife, Callie Marlowe Wells of the residence. He is also survived by one daughter, Sheree Wells Amos and one son David M Wells, four brothers Emmett Wells, George Wells, Jack Wells and Hassell Wells, five sisters Mary Wells Marlowe, Virginia Wells Herndon, Elma Wells Herndon, Nadeen Wells Tyler and Ruby Wells Burge, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted at County Line Christian Church. Burial followed at County Line Christian Church Cemetery.
