Walter Arand
Walter Arand, 80, St. Marys, died Monday at a Topeka hospital.
He was born May 17, 1898 at Belvue, and lived in St. Marys after moving from Belvue in 1948. He was a retired farmer and a member of St. John's American Lutheran Church south of Belvue.
Mr. Arand was married to Ida Havenstein Aug. 11, 1924 at Junction City. She survives.
Other survivors include a son, Harvey Arand, Indianola, Ia.; a sister, Mrs. Edna Gnadt, Alma; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services were Wednesday at the Verschelden Funeral Home chapel in St. Marys.
Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery south of Belvue.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. John's American Lutheran Church in care of the funeral home.
