She was born July 3, 1938, in Fremont, to Richard and Elanore (Grachek) Babione. She married Charlie Adkins Sept. 15, 1956, and he preceded her in death Oct. 17, 1985. She married Donald W. Reid Aug. 29, 1986, and he preceded her in death Oct. 10, 2008.
Survivors include her two sons, James (France) Adkins and Richard “Rusty” (Julie) Adkins, both of Tiffin; a daughter, Kimberly (Patrick) Doran of Tiffin; a stepdaughter, Ruth (Bob) Metcalf of Tiffin; a brother, Richard L. Babione of Fremont; two sisters, Doris (Dean) Yontz of Fremont and Denise LaPointe of Maumee; four grandchildren, Jenna (Michael) Kreeger, Brett Adkins, Chelsea Adkins and Erica Adkins; and two great-grandchildren, Bryson and Brayden Kreeger.
She also was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Donald Babione and infant brother, Dennis J. Babione.
Diane graduated from St. Joseph Central Catholic High School, Fremont. She was a nanny and very close to the children that she cared for and also volunteered at area agencies. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Bettsville American Legion Post 733 and enjoyed sewing, quilting, knitting, crocheting and collecting thimbles. Diane enjoyed helping others, loved spending time with her grandchildren and was very family oriented.
