Mrs. Eliza Knisley Dies at 85

Funeral services for Mrs. Eliza Knisley, 85, who died Saturday morning at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George Medlock in Omaha, were held at 2 o'clock at Cairo Baptist Church.

Mrs. Knisley, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Miller, was born October 15, 1871 (may be 1873), near Rippey, Ia., and married John A. Knisley Oct. 27, 1891 at Rippey, where they farmed several years.

The Knisleys came to Nebraska in 1921, locating in Grand Island and moved to Cairo in 1923. She was a member of the Cairo Baptist Church since 1923.

Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, one son, Elmer, two infant daughters, a set of triplet grandchildren, one brother and one sister.

Survivors include her daughter, Mrs. Medlock; two sons, Clarence and Alvin, both of Redwood Falls, Minn.; one brother, John H. Miller of Farnam; two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Winchell of Laramie, Wyo., and Mrs. Cora Hiddleson of Grand Island; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

The Rev. James Hubbard conducted the services with burial in the Cairo Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Hollis Nunnenkamp, Fred Mieth, Bob Hendrickson, Dean Veeder, Albert Lemburg and Fred Russel.
