please add this note to James.

researchers please note that Williminna "Willie" M. Barker, might not be the mother of James. It is very hard to tell if James date of birth might have been changed through the years to go with the marriage to Willie Barker.

Napoleon Bonaparte Fisher, was previously married to Mary Enloe, 11 Mar 1869, Collin County, Texas. This marriage produced a son James Fisher born ca. Aug 1869. Apparently this marriage did not work out as Mary Enloe appears in the 1870 cen. of Collin County, Texas. She is living with her parents Rev. Abraham and Sarah Pate Enloe, and has a son James Fisher, 10/12. I am not sure but believe that Mary Enloe Fisher might have died ca 1880, or she remarried. I have not found another James Fisher, with the exception of the one born in 1873, with Willie and Polly.

I have found it strange that their would be two James Fisher, approx. the same age found with Napoleon B. Fisher, with this next wife Willie. It would have been normal for the time for the James of Mary Enloe, to be raised by Polly and Willie as her child. And it would have been equally normal for researchers to believe that this James birth to be before the marriage to Willie and change the date to match the times, as many early researchers did not know about the marriage to Mary Enloe and the census record.
