John W. McNulty, aged 78 years, an almost lifetime resident of Plaingrove township, died at the home of his son, J. A. McNulty, 1626 Bancroft avenue, Youngstown, O., on Tuesday night at 11:25. He had been ill with influenza and on February 7 he suffered a stroke of apoplexy and in his weakened condition was unable to recover. Mr. McNulty was born at the Plaingrove community on February 18, 1859, son of John and Mary Childs McNulty, and passed his life there as a farmer. He was a member of the Plaingrove United Presbyterian church. His wife, Mary Elizabeth Allen McNulty, preceded him in death. Surviving are three sons, J. A. McNulty, at whose home in Youngstown he had been staying for the past several months, R. J. and R. G. McNulty, of Plaingrove township; six grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Maud Snyder and Miss Laura McNulty, of Plaingrove township, and Miss Grace McNulty, of Pittsburgh, and three brothers, Ira of Iowa, Ernest of Dubois, Pa., and C. D., of Plaingrove. The body will be brought tot the home of R. G. McNulty in Plaingrove Thursday afternoon and funeral services will be conducted in the Plaingrove U. P. church with the pastor, Rev. J. C. Fulton, in charge Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment will be made in the church cemetery.
