Born in Acworth July 12, 1891, the son of the late John W, and Mattie Hull Terrell, he had resided in Floyd County most of his life and was a member of the Mt. Taber Methodist Church. His wife, the former Luna Pressley, did Feb. 23, 1962. He was later married to the former Travilla Rhinehart, on March 18, 1963.
Surviving in addition to his widow are three sons, H. G. Terrell Jr., Vaughn Terrell, and Paul S. Terrell, all of Rome; four daughters, Mrs. Sybille Clay, Rome Rte. 9, Miss Annie Lou Terrell, Atlanta, Mrs. Aileen Ewing, Tucker, and Mrs. Floa Chasteen, Cordele; five stepsons, Donald Rhinehart, Americus, James Rhinehart, Atlanta, Walter Rhinehart, Summerville. Thomas and Richard Rhinehart, both of Rome; one stepdaughter, Mrs. George Stevens, Ozark, Ala.; four brothers Robert Harlan Terrell, Bainbridge, Linton Edward Terrell, Cincinnati, Ohio, Foster G. Terrell, Brooksville, Fla., and John Wesley Terrell, Brooksville, Fla,.: two sisters, Miss Annie Beth Terrell, Rome and Mrs. J. T, Mitchell, Rome; 21 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Luke's Methodist Church, Celanese, with Revs, Paul Loyd and LeRoy Smith officiating. Interment will be in the Mountain Springs Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be grandsons, honorary pallbearers will include o. O. Beard, Donald Beard, Leonard Boswell, Ed Buffington, Melvin Beard, Emory Echols, Albert Beard, Marvin Duke, Joe Massingill, Weldon Touchstone, Houston Touchstone, Faye Touchstone, J. The body will lie in state at Daniel's Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p.m. today. At other hours they will be at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Vaughn Terrell, 1113 Margo Trail, Twickenham Estates.
