Donald Lloyd Carver-71, of 49 Israel Road, Canton, NC was born in Haywood County on May 6, 1931 and passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2002 at Haywood Regional Medical Center.
He was a native and lifelong resident of Haywood County and a son of the late Gilmer and Maggie McCracken Carver. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, J. M. and Mack Carver and a sister, Helen Griswald. He retired from Champion International and served in the United States Army in the Korean Conflict stationed in Panama.
