Peter Henry Dau JR was born to Peter Henry Dau SR and Maria A (Sibbert) Dau (1854-1940) who were both born in Germany. P.H. Dau Jr was born in Iowa; he married on the 25 of June, 1919 to Cecelia Jane "Jennie" (Armstrong) Davis at Logan, Iowa. Jennie's daughter Georgianna (Davis) joined them after they married; Georgianna had been living with her Armstrong grandparents in Grand Forks, North Dakota, but their health was not good. P. H. Dau and wife "Jennie" had a baby daughter Minnie Marie Dau, who lived one day and died in February,1935.
P. H. Dau had a stroke and was in the Putnam Nursing Home before his death; "Jennie" preceded him in death, and both are buried in the Oxford Cemetery; probably baby Minnie Dau is buried there also. Georgianna (Davis) is buried in the Russell Cemetery in Lucas County, IA, beside her husband, Albert T. Cochran.
