Rothsville Rambles
On Sunday morning John Adams, residing near this place, died suddenly of heart disease. He lived a pious life and his many friends mourn his loss. The remains were interred in the Evangelical graveyard. His age was 39 years.

"Sudden Death
John Adams, who resided near Rothsville, died very suddenly on Sunday last {?} of heart disease. He went to bed on Saturday evening feeling better than usual, although he had been ailing for some time. A few days before he had been in Lititz consulting his physician, complaining of rheumatism of the heart. He slept well until midnight, when he woke up, and feeling bad, tried to vomit. A short time elapsed when another spell came on, and before many minutes he died. Deceased was a consistent member of the Evangelical church at Rothsville, an exhorter for six years, and always at his post even when almost unfit to be there from ill-health. The funeral was very largely attended on Wednesday. His age was 39 years, 7 months and 29 days."
