Eugene Benard Renkiewicz, 36, and Mary Margaret Renkiewicz, 33, died Dec. 15, 1987. Eugene Bernard Renkiewicz was born Oct. 11, 1951 in Boyne City, the son of Edward Xavier and Sophia (Piekarski) Renkiewicz Sr.

He grew up in the Horton Bay area and graduated from Boyne City High School in 1969. From 1970-72 he served as a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborn Division at Fort Bragg, N.C. Eugene Bernard Renkiewicz and the former Mary Margaret Nortley were married in Petoskey and lived in Horton Bay until moving to their present home in Hayes Township in 1980, where he operated a farm.

Mr. Renkiewicz was also employed as a grinder at the Will-Flow Corp. in Charlevoix for the past 14 years. He was also shop stewart. He was a member of St. Mary's Church in Charlevoix.

He is survivied by two daughters, Heather M. and Laura A., both at home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward E. Renkiewicz Sr. of Horton Bay; five brothers, Edward X. Jr. of Horton Bay, Michael of Saline, Richard of Canton, Rudolph C. of Ypsilanti, and Raymond of Ironton; five sisters, Mrs. Tery (Bernadine) McNeely of Brown Deer, Wis., Doloresa Renkiewicz of Las Vegas, Nev., Mrs. Patrick (Virginia) Bryan of Cadillac, Patricia Renkiewicz of Petoskey and Mrs. Les (Mary) Dieffenboch of Tampa, Fla.

Mrs. Renkiewicz was born Mary Margaret Nortley on Oct. 18, 1954 in Tecumseh, the daughter of Joseph and Ethel (Eversol) Nortley Sr. She was raised in Saline and graduated from Saline High School in 1972. She was married to Eugene B. Renkiewicz in Petoskey.

She had been employed at Bendix-Courter Operations in Boyne City as a custodian for the past year. She was a member of St. Mary's Church. Mrs. Renkiewicz is survived by two daughters, Heather M. and Laura A., both at home; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Nortley Sr. of Gaylord; five brothers Joseph Jr. of Winston Salem, N.C., Gerald and Thomas of Saline, Gregory of Charlevoix and Michael of Charlotte; three sisters, Mrs. Ed (Karen) Wise of Tecumseh, Ms. JoAnn Leutheuser of Ann Arbor and Mrs. Robert (Linda) Seyried of Walled Lake.

The family will receive callers from 67-9 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 17, at the Winchester Funeral home where a rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. A joint funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 18, at St. Mary's Church in Charlevoix with Fr. James K. Gardiner as celebrant.

Burial will take place in St. Mary's Cemetery, Charlevoix.
