Born September 11, 1945 in Keifer, Md., he was the son of the late Marion and Essie Brown Shambaugh.
He attended public schools in Maryland.
He was a member of Woodrow Union Christian Church and attended Calvary United Methodist Church in Great Cacapon.
He had retired from West Virginia Department of Highways after 18 years of service. He was a member of the Paw Paw American Legion Post # 128 and the Great Cacapon Volunteer Fire Department. He served in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his wife Pauline Louise Stinebaugh, who he married June 25, 1965; one son, Anthony DeWayne Shambaugh, Berkeley Springs; one grandchild, Courtney Ashlyn Shambaugh, Berkeley Springs; two sisters, Sue and Debbie Shambaugh, both of Magnolia; three brothers, Joe and Luther "Jock" Shambaugh, both of Paw Paw and Dean Shambaugh, Magnolia.
Funeral services were conducted Friday, June 29, at the Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home, Berkeley Springs with Pastors Ken DeHaven and Barry Dillon officiating. Interment in Great Cacapon Cemetery with full graveside military honors by the Tri-State Honor Guard.
