Edward, 84, of Lansing, went to be with his Lord on Saturday. He was the son of Ernest and Magdalena Shelkey.
Edward served in the U.S. Army during the end of WWII and during the Korean Conflict where he was injured during battle. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and was a long-time devoted member of St. Mary Cathedral in Lansing.
Funeral Mass was celebrated by Rev. Fr. Bernard Reilly on Monday, April 18, 2011 at St. Mary Cathedral, Lansing. The Rosary was prayed for Mr. Shelkey.
