Arthur D. Kalb, 77 a Crawford county native and a prominent resident of nearby Attica, died yesterday in Willard Hospital where he had been a patient for two weeks.
He was born in Chatfield Township Dec. 11, 1902 to William and Lulu (Williams) Kalb.
Survivors include three children, Mrs. Ralph (Ann) Beaston, Attica, David, of Michigan and Edward of Attica. A brother, Harley Kalb of Chatfield and nine grandchildren survive. He was preceded in death by his late wife who died in 1977 and a sister.
He was a district service man of Ohio Power Company and owner-operator of Attica Electric. He was a former fire chief, past president of the former Attica School Board, a member of the Attica Businessman's Association, Ohio Power Veterans Association, and was a member of St. Peter's and Paul's Catholic Church in Attica and the K of C.
Funeral services will be held in his church Thursday at 10 a.m. The Rev. Raymond Siefert will officate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call in the Foos and Son Funeral Home, Attica, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, where the Rosary will be said at 8:30 p.m. Memorials may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
