Mrs. Leslie Rose Cotton 34, of Ava, died Friday July 10, at the Springfield Osteopathic Hospital. Death was caused by hemorraaging during childbirth. The infant daughter, Judith Rose, is in satisfactory condition.

Mrs. Cotton was born Feb. 16,1919 in Taney County, the daughter of Harry Clay and Rosalie Pollard.
She married Clarence Cotton Feb.7, 1940.

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday at the Mt. Tabor church by Rev. Allen Ledbetter of Lutie.
Burial was in Mt. Tabor Cemetery, under the direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home.

She is survived by her husband, Clarence of the home ; three daughters, infant daughter, Judith Rose of the home, Mrs. Shirley Collier and Bonnie Cotton of Ava; one step-daughter, Mrs. Velda Lidwell of Squires; her parents, Harry and Rosalie Pollard; four brothers, Clarence of Bradleyville, Jess of Rock Island, IL, Harry of Richland, WA. and Connie Pollard of Montana.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Vicky Lynn, Feb. 6,1952

Little Judith Rose Cotton is back home with her family after being cared for by Mrs. John Wray. Her big sisters, Shirley and Bonnie are caring for her now.
Relatives out of state for the funeral of Mrs. Clarence Cotton were her brothers, Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Pollard and daughter of Rock Island, ILL; Connie Pollard of Montana and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Pollard of Richland, Wash.
