Mrs. Mary D. Whitworth, age 69, of Blum died Wednesday, April 11, 1979 in the Whitney Hospital. Funeral service was held Thursday, April 12, at 2:00 p.m. at the Church of Christ in Blum with Minister Wilburn Pearson officiating. Interment was in the Blum Cemetery.
Mrs. Whitworth was born November 14, 1909 at Huron, the daughter of Jessie and John A. Barnes. She lived several years in Bosque County and at Blum for the past 10 years. She was a member of the Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband Tulous Whitworth several years ago.
Survivors are her mother, Mrs. Jessie Barnes of Blum; 5 brothers, Oliver, Garden and Lawrence Barnes, all of Rt. 3, Whitney, Eddie Barnes of Irving and Johnnie Barnes of Abilene; 1 sister, Mrs. Jesse Faqua of Duncanville; and a number of nieces and nephews.
