Arliss Marlene (Wienke) Wold, age 77, of Menomonie, WI died Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at the American Lutheran Home, Menomonie, WI.
Arliss was born to Rudolph Wienke and Bessie (Kenyon) Wienke on September 1, 1933 in Forest, WI. On June 2, 1956 Arliss married Ray Wold and to this union three children were born. Arliss was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Connorsville for 50 years and an active member of the Ladies Aid. She was a bookkeeper for the family construction company. Arliss enjoyed baking for friends and family occasions. She liked traveling and especially enjoyed trips to Hawaii, Mexico and an Alaskan cruise with her family in 2005. Arliss is preceded in death by her parents an infant daughter Malinda in 1960 and brothers Richard Wienke and Donald Wienke.
She is survived by husband, Ray Wold; children, Ron Wold and partner Jeff Canham, Seattle, WA, Lori (Stewart) Peterson, Fox Lake, WI, and Malissa (David) Sykora, Baldwin, WI. Grandchildren, Heather (Ted) Stabenow, Menomonie, WI, Adam Anderson (Chelsie Wayne), Menomonie, WI, Sam Sykora, Des Moines, IA, and Patrick Sykora, Baldwin, WI. Great-grandchildren, Jordana Bentley and Ayden Anderson. Brother, Wayne (Jean) Wienke, South Carolina; brothers-in-law, Sheldon (Ardis) Wold, Somerset, WI, Clayton (Rosemary) Wold, Prairie Farm, WI; and sisters-in-law, Sharron (Raymond) Hanson, Prairie Farm, WI, Julia Wold, New Richmond, WI, June Wienke, Amery, WI, and Karen Wienke, Baldwin, WI. She is further survived by uncle, Lorraine Kenyon, Portage, WI; and aunt, Ellen Wienke, Waukesha, WI.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 2, 2011 at Grace Lutheran Church in Connorsville, WI with the Reverend Paul Carlson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call at the Anderson Funeral Home in Glenwood City, WI on Friday April 1, 2011 from 5 to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to services Saturday at the church.
