HARLANSBURG – Mrs. Harriet Jane Morrison McCracken, 60, of 5142 Sterling St., Austintown, Ohio, died at 1:45 p.m. Saturday in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Youngstown following a long illness. She was born in Ambridge, Pa., on June 26, 1914, to Mrs. Laura Brightenstein Morrison and the late A. B. Morrison. She was a former teacher in Beaver County schools. Mrs. McCracken was of the Presbyterian faith. She was a graduate of Edinburg State College and the University of Pittsburgh. She is survived by her husband, Richard G. McCracken, whom she married on Dec. 27, 1937; three sons, Harry Lee of Grove City RD 2, John W. of New Castle RD 4; and Samuel R. of McDonald, Ohio, her mother, Mrs. Laura Morrison of Beaver, Pa., two brothers, William Morrison of Aliquippa and John R. Morrison of Beaver; and five grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Joseph W. Boyd Funeral Home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Monday. The service will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, conducted by the Rev. Clarence Drake of the Evangel Community Church. Burial will be in South Plain Grove United Presbyterian Cemetery.
