Carolyn Gatlin, 65, of Madisonville, Kentucky passed away at 12:50 A.M., Friday, May 1, 2009 at Regional Medical Center in Madisonville.
She was born November 16, 1943 in Slaughters, KY to the late Raymond "Skinner" Nance and Dorothy Newton Nance.
She was a hairdresser and a member of the Woodmen of the World for 40 years.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Wayne Gatlin of Madisonville; two daughters, Lori (Joey) Dickerson of Madisonville, KY and Tara (Jason) Ford of Vine Grove, KY; one brother, Ralph Nance of Slaughters and 4 grandchildren, Kyle & Mallory Dickerson of Madisonville and Connor & Ryan Ford of Vine Grove.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, May 4, 2009 at the Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Pastor Ron Henn officiating. Burial will follow in Grapevine Cemetery in Madisonville.
Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Sunday and 9:00 A.M. until service time on Monday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may take the form of donation to the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or Kosair Charities. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
