WILLIAM S. RUPP, 63, DIES AT HOME HERE AFTER LONG ILLNESS
William S. Rupp, 63, died at 6:30 P.M. Thursday of last week at his home here at 507 S. Seventh Avenue, following a long illness.
Funeral services were held at 2:30 P.M. Saturday in the Villisca Methodist Church, with the pastor, the Rev. Martin H. Keast, in charge. He was assisted by the Rev. L. B. Carpenter. Singing was by Mr. and Mrs. Albert F. Davie and Miss Sylvia Enarson, with Helen Shepherd at the organ. Pallbearers were Harry, Arthur and Russell Waage, and Gordon Lloyd and Lowell Rupp. Burial was made in the Villisca Cemetery.
William Scott Rupp was born May 14, 1869 at Muscatine, Iowa. He was married in Kansas to Miss Minnie Hartman who died four years later. To this union two children were born, both dying in infancy.
On November 29, 1911, he was married at Grant, Iowa to Miss Kate Purdy and to them one son was born, Dalzelle, Mr. and Mrs. Rupp spent their entire married life in Montgomery County.
