According to his obituary published in the Morning Olympian on Tuesday, January 7, 1930, Abner died at the home of his daughter. Mrs. C. H. Camfield. He arrived in Hillsborough, Oregon with his parents in 1844, and in 1868 he came to Washington. He was employed by the Northern Pacific. In 1871 he married Amanda J. Black at Stockport, now known as Ostrander.
He was survived by two daughters, Mrs. C. H. Camfield of Olympia, and Mrs. P. C. Fleming, of Bellingham; six grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
