Elizabeth never married until she married Charles Henry Western in Steuben County, Dec. 19, 1888. She became stepmother to Sherman Austin Western. They lived in Hudson, Indiana from 1888 to 1899, then moved to Lake Gogebic Michigan for 4 years. Her husband died, after which time, she returned to live in Hudson, Indiana. She never remarried.
