Emigrated from Perthshire in 1798 with mother & siblings 'so that they would not have to live life on rental lands'. To Johnstown, Montgomery Co, NY, then to Big Springs (Caledonia) where bought 500 acres. Farmed, loved big trees. One who founded Beulah Presbyterian Church.
