Andrew's grandparents were Joshua Williams, Jr, buried at El Bethel UMC in Chester Co. SC and Annie Wilfong Stewman Williams, buried at Camp Creek Baptist Church in Lancaster Co. S. C.

Andrew Jackson Stogner (aka: Andy, and A.J.) was discharged a private of Company F, 2nd Regiment, of the South Carolina Volunteers.
Enrolled the 20th day of July, 1898 to serve two years, or during the war, and is hereby discharged from the service of the United States by reason of muster out of regiment.
It is given at Augusta, GA. this 19th day of April, 1899.
