A lifetime Columbia City resident, he graduated with the Class of 1973 from Columbia City Joint High School. On May 21, 1977 he married Michelle Trimmer at First Church of God, Columbia City. For 28 years, he worked as a welder for Dana Corporation, Syracuse.
Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Michelle Bolinger of Columbia City; daughters, Brandi (Sergio) Saldivar of Fort Wayne and Amber (Russell) Simons of Churubusco; son, Jeremy (Heather) Bolinger of Churubusco; sisters and brother, Jan Smith of Huntington, Lori (Randy) DeBallie of Pierceton, Toni (Benji) Fugate of Columbia City, Lois (Russ) Gagnon of North Manchester, Lonnie (Brenda) Bolinger of Syracuse and Stacy (Scott) Gagnon of Columbia City; one grandson, Jackson Bolinger of Churubusco. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant sister, Debbie Bolinger and step-brother, Gary Bolinger.
