My Mason family reunion cookbook says that James was married to Sarah Jane Grindstaff(1866-1949) and they had 3 sons. One of them, Thomas Ervin was my Great-Grandfather. It goes on to say that he left Sarah and sons, and later on married a Harriet Weaver and had at least 4 more children with her. I only have info for Jame's mother, the name Mary Horton Mason(9/9/1837-4/6/1937) These dates are taken from my cookbook, don't know how accurate they are.
