Sir Ronald Aylmer Fisher FRS (17 February 1890 – 29 July 1962) was an eugenicist, evolutionary biologist, geneticist, geophysicist, Lecturer, mathematical biologist, professor, scientist, statistician, and FRS(Fellow of the Royal Society). Ronald Fisher is considered to be the father of modern statistics and experimental design. He provided researchers in biology and medicine with their most important research tools, as well as with the modern version of biology's central theorem. He was born to George Fisher and Katie Heath Fisher. He was the youngest of seven children. He had three brothers, and three sisters. His father was a fine arts dealer. Ronald married Ruth Eileen Gratton Guinness on 26 April 1917. They had two sons (one of whom died in infancy. The elder was killed in action in 1943) and six daughters.
