Thomas E. Price and Annie Sue Cannon adopted a son Thomas E. Price

Greenwood, July 9 - Thomas Edwin Price, 71, resident of the White Hall section died suddenly Wednesday at 4 p.m. at his home.

He had been in declining health.

He was a son of the late John Price and Sarah Brown Price, both from families of McCormick County. Mr. Price had made his home in the White Hall section for the past 16 years, and was engaged in farming. He was a member of the Cross Hill Methodist Church.

In addition to his wife, who was the former Miss Annie Sue Cannon of Waterloo, one son survives (Adopted son) Thomas Edwin Price Jr. of Charlotte, N.C.: two sisters, Mrs Lila Brown, Greenwood; Mrs. Ellie Jennings of McCormick and two brothers, Lee Price of McCormick; Ruffus Price of Greenwood and several nieces and nephews.

Interment will be in Greenwood Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Pierce Brown, M. Simpson, Edwin Martin, James Price, Clyde Price and Clarence Smith.

Honarary escort will be Dr W. P. Turner Jr, Lee Carithers, Boyd Strickland, Ray Anderson, Paul Marner, Donald Shipes, Hoke Snipes, Tommy Cromer, George Edwin Tolbert and Carl Cromer.
