Lloyd Johnson Mabe, 22, who resided near Woodlawn, died on Sunday afternoon, December 18.
Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Gracie Mae Chappell Mabe, a small daughter and the par­ents, Mr. and Mrs. William Anderson Mabe.
Funeral arrangements were incomplete when the Gazette went to press this afternoon.

Funeral services for Lloyd Johnson Mabe, 22, who died on Sunday afternoon, December 18, were held at the Coulson Brethren church Wednesday morning, at ten o'clock, Rev. Charles Manuel, Austinville, had charge of the services in the church. Military rities were conducted at the grave in the church ceme­tery by Blue Ridge Post 146, American Legion, and Galax Post 7568, Veterans of Foreign Wars. A1 Rogers had general charge of the military rites, with Dan Rector commanding the firing squad. VFW Chaplain Richard E. Hamblin acted in his official capacity.
The deceased, who resided near Woodlawn, served in the U. S. Army during World War II.
