Mrs. Hattie L. Godwin Murphy, 80, of Attapulgus, GA, was born in Jacksonville, FL and passed away Monday, at her residence. She is the daughter of Robert Lee Cole and Fannie Lou Jones Cole. As a Certified Nursing Assistant, she was a compassionate caregiver and touched many families with over 20 years of service, and was of the Baptist faith.
Mrs. Murphy was preceded in death by her husband Bob Murphy; her brother, R. L. Cole; her sister, Pat Lyons; and her grandson, Jeff Godwin.
Survivors include her sons, Al and wife, Joyce, and Mike and wife, Candice; her sisters, Elizabeth and husband, Richard, Lorraine, and Barbara; her granddaughters, Cindy and Amy; grandson, Chris; and her great-grandchildren, Cody, Hunter, Myranda, Averie, and Dylan.
