Mrs. Augusta Bach.
On Thursday last April 22, Mrs. August Bach died at Passavant hospital, in the City of Milwaukee, after undergoing an operation for removal of a large tumor. The poor sufferer exhibited the utmost patience and submission, although fully aware that she would in all probability, die on the operating table. She knew that she would not live without an operation and that knew chance of surviving was one in a thousand. For years she has been invalid and although at times suffering severe pains, she bore her afflictions patiently and heroically, never complaining, never petulant or cross, but always agreeable, pleasant and solicitous for the comfort and happiness of her relatives and friends.

Deceased was the oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John F. Buch and was born in the province of Brandenburg Germany, on January 1, 1856. When a babe of two years she came with her parents in the year 1858 to Cedarburg. In the year 1874, she was united in wedlock to John Buch, and after residing here for several years after their marriage, they removed to Butternut, Wis., where they resided since.

She leaves a husband and one daughter, Mrs. Amanda Graf, besides her parents, three brothers, William of Hermansville, Mich., Henry of this city, and Herman of Milwaukee; two sisters, Theresa Bittner of Milwaukee, and Mrs. Helena Fink of Reed City, Mich., are left who mourn her untimely demise. The remains arrived here at her parents’ home on Friday evening; the funeral took place last Sunday afternoon and was largely attended. Rev. E.G. Strassburger officiated.
