Funeral services are pending at Denton Funeral Home for Lydia Mae Wood, 84, 603 S. 10th St., who died Thursday in a local hospital.
She was a housewife and moved to Carlsbad in 1940 from Clarksville, Texas. She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Hiram A. of Carlsbad; a daughter-in-law, Pearlene Wood of Houston; two brothers, Ben Phillips of Clarksville and Charlie Phillips of Dallas, Texas; and one sister, Flotia Abernathey of Clarksville.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in the Denton Funeral Home chapel for Lydia Mae Wood. The Rev. James Drake, retired Methodist minister, will officiate with burial to follow in Sunset Gardens Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Marvin Bailey, Roscoe Payne, G.D. Hare, I.W. Mitchell, Jim Callaway and Carl Bland.
