Hannah Swift was the daughter of Eber and Polly Swift. She was married to Silas P. Otto in 1848 (his second wife) and had the following children:

Ellen Matilda Otto, married Thomas Booth.
Charles A. Otto, died young.
Maria Otto, died as a young adult.
William Henry Otto, married Nellie Olmstead.
Riley Palmer Otto, married Carrie E. Robinson.

Silas and Hannah (Swift) Otto lived out their lives in Clarksville, Allegany County, New York. They are buried in the North Cuba Cemetery, although no stones remain visible for them.

No obituaries have surfaced for the Ottos, but there were brief notices in the local newspaper:

The Cuba Patriot, (Cuba, NY) Vol. 30, No. 37, Thurs., Sept. 10, 1891: "Clarksville: Mr. and Mrs. Otto are very sick, and as they are both past 80 years of age, there is but little chance of recovery."

The Cuba Patriot, (Cuba, NY) Vol. 30, No. 38, Thurs., Sept. 17, 1891: "Clarksville: Mr. Parmer Otto died at the home of his son, Riley Parmer, Sept. 8th, age 81 years. His wife is not expected to live."
