Clifford Bow was born May 3, 1921 and departed this life Sunday, April 3, 2011 reaching the age of 89. He was the son of the late Alvin "Al" Bow and Mattie (Sewell) Bow.
He was united in marriage to Marjorie Needham on October 31, 1946 and to this union 1 child was born.
He is survived by: his wife, Marjorie Bow of Monticello, KY; 1 son, Tom (Barbara) Bow of Pikeville, KY; and 4 grandchildren, Kyle Bow, Joy Gilliam, Shanea Garretson, and Daniel Saravia. He is also survived by: 2 nieces, Vernell Young and Lisa Hutchinson; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.
In addition to his parents, Al and Mattie Bow, he was preceded in death by: 1 sister, Bernice Lawless.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 6, 2011 from 5 – 9pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 7, 2011 at 11 am at the Marvin S. Hicks Funeral Home with Bro. Bob Schaeffer officiating. Burial will be in Elk Spring Cemetery. Full military honors will be performed by DAV Chapter 105.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to: United Methodist Church Building Fund or Hospice of Lake Cumberland
