from her obit: Ella May Shearer was born in Malden, Bureau County, Il January 22, 1865, the youngest daughter of James and Caroline Martin. When fourteen years of age she moved with the family to Cullom, Livingston County, Illinois, and later was married to U.S. Shearer at Cullom, April 21, 1895. Mr. Shearer passed away in 1920. To them one son Lloyd James was born, who preceded Mrs. Shearer in death on December 23, 1935. Contributor: M K
