Adeline was born to proud parents Carl W. Smithers and Margaret I. Mack-Smithers in Kalispell, Montana. She had three brothers. About the time of WWII, in 1940, she married Clarence Norman for nearly thirty years. From that marriage she had two sons Darrell and Clarence Jr. In 1983, her second marriage to John Carroll Morgan lasted until his death in 2002. Adeline was a hard-working woman her entire life, a kind and wonderful wife, mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother.
