Margaret Hoffman, 76, of Early, Texas, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2011, at Las Colinas Medical Center in Irving, Texas.
Margaret was born August 7, 1934, in Lone Wolf, Oklahoma, to Jay and Bernice (Preslar) Winters. She graduated from Friendship High School in 1952. Margaret married Walter Morgan Hoffman August 12, 1954, in Altus, Oklahoma. She worked as a telephone operator for several years. Margaret and Walt moved from Brownfield, Texas, to Early, Texas, where they had resided for the past twenty-four years. She enjoyed shopping, going to garage sales, and looking for bargains at flea markets. Margaret was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and loved her family dearly.
She will be missed by all who knew her. Margaret was a member of the First Baptist Church in Early.
Preceded in death by her parents, Margaret is survived by her husband, Walter Hoffman of Early, Texas; one son, Kelly W. Hoffman and wife Cindy of Austin, Texas; one daughter, Kim D. Baum and husband Cave of North Richland Hills, Texas; four brothers, Gary Winters and wife Regina of Blair, Oklahoma, Lorin Winters of Navajo, Oklahoma, Burl Winters and wife Francine of Navajo, and Mike Winters of Lawton, Oklahoma; her grandchildren, Jarrod W. Baum and Collin Henry Baum, both of Athens, Texas, Kristen R. Baum of Dallas, Texas, Libby Hoffman, Leah Hoffman, and Lydia Hoffman, all of Austin, Texas.
She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins,
and many friends.
Graveside Services will be held 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 29, 2011, at the Warren Cemetery, Warren, Oklahoma, with
Reverend Keith Wiginton officiating. Lowell-Tims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
