This was my father in law. I loved him dearly. He was a wonderful man. The first time I ever met him he grabbed my hand and kissed it and said, "This must be the beautiful young lady we've been hearing about." He stole my heart right there and then. He died of multiple illnesses realted to diabetes.

During his life he traveled the country working on Dams. He also had a wonderful talent in wood working. I saw him once take a cherry wood branch and turn it into a sword for one of his grandsons. I was amazed at his beautiful work.

Bud was quite a character at times. The family swore he carried a cherry pit in his pocket because whenever he'd eat a cherry pie there was ALWAYS a pit in it that he got in his mouth. One of the family claimed he even got a cherry pit in his mouth from an apple pie.

I miss him dearly.
