Clement and his family homesteaded on the Little Missouri River and late moved to New Haven, Wyoming where they operated a country store and post office. He was well liked by everyone in the community and benefactor of many. After his death, his son, Garnet, went ahead and operated the store until in the 1940's he moved to Missouri.
