Ruth Alda (Robertson) Duncan,formerly of McDermott, Ohio, passed away Aug 24 1998, at the Spring Creek Nursing Home in Huber Heights,Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Alfred, May 10 1991, and their only son,Floyd Ray, July 10,1952. She was also preceded in death by two sisters,Hazel Adams and Mildred Willis; and one brother,Raymond Robertson. She was born Sept 7,1913, in Portsmouth, the daughter of John and Bessie (Shiveley) Robertson. She graduated from McDermott High School in 1932. On June 18,1933 she married Alfred Duncan, of McDermott,in New Boston, Ohio Ruth retired from Rike's Beauty Salon in Dayton in 1983.She was employed there for 17years.
Surviving are one sister, Janet Adkins of Dayton,Ohio; two sisters-in-law,Ruth Detwiller of Lucasville,Ohio and Millie Duncan of Reynoldsburg,Ohio; two brothers-in-law,Charlie Duncan of Florida and Eddie Willis of Chicage,Illinois; also many nieces and nephews. The services will be held at 2pm Friday,Aug 28 at McKinley Funeral Home in Lucasville,Ohio. Viewing will be one hour before the service. Burial will be in Rushtown Cemetery
