She was born Oct 13, 1882, in Kansas and moved to Clark County in 1886 where her mother became the first postmaster in Fern Prairie. Mrs. Adams moved to Roseburg in 1974.
Mrs. Adams was the first switchboard operator at the Courthouse, retiring in 1952 after six years. Mrs. Adams had been active in the Democratic party and ran for state representative in 1944. She was a past grand chief of the Pythian Sisters.
Her husband, Samuel Adams, died in 1939.
Survivors include a son, Robert of Roseburg; three grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements are pending.
Burial will be in Park Hill Cemetery.
